Volunteering and working from home

inNews

For the third in our series of Zoom Cafes for National Volunteering Week (17th – 23rd May), we are discussing the theme of working from home. This has become the new normal for many of us, whether we like it or not. The challenges of this are not all about the technology or how many Zoom calls you can cope with each day. It is also about isolation, motivation and organisation. It’s a completely different way of working. This session is run by ‘Grow Remote’ who grew from a volunteer group to a not-for-profit organisation with the aim of helping people to work, live and participate locally.  They do this by making remote work (employment) both visible and accessible. The practicalities of remote/home-working apply to volunteering too and we will be talking about how to overcome some of the barriers and give tips and examples of good practice.

Date: Wednesday 19th May, 11.00 – 12.00 Register here: https://www.eventbrite.ie/e/153842766857
